Mr. Pierce told Law360 that firms need to take seriously the need for a cultural reset if they are not attracting diverse attorneys and figure out ways to hold themselves accountable. "As smart and as intelligent and as highly analytical as law firms and the people in them can be, they're often very anachronistic, very conservative and not the quick sort to lead the charge when it comes to social change within their firms or with respect to just having the makeup of the law firm reflect society."
