Bloomberg Law quotes Allyson Baker on CFPB's request for information (RFI) on the "efficiency and effectiveness" of its enforcement program

Allyson Baker was quoted in an article in Bloomberg Law on February 7, 2018, about the CFPB's top-to-bottom industry examination under acting Director Mick Mulvaney. The CFPB is asking for responses across industries for recommendations to the agency's enforcement practices.

Ms. Baker said that companies might complain about the CFPB making the fact of an investigation public after a target files to adjust or quash a CID. She continued to say that, "Some people take issue with that practice and feel pretty strongly that 'I should be allowed to petition to modify a CID without the investigation itself becoming public because of the presumption baked into that investigation potentially.'"
