The Venable Foundation’s recent $250,000 impact grant to Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) was covered by Law360, The Maryland Daily Record, Attorney at Law Magazine, and CityBiz.
The Venable Foundation’s grant will fund social services support for unaccompanied immigrant children residing in DC, Los Angeles, Maryland, New York, San Francisco, and Virginia. The children KIND serves need help navigating the United States immigration and child welfare systems. They may also require assistance with basic needs, including food, housing, and healthcare. KIND’s holistic approach works to ensure that all of the children’s needs are met by complementing their legal representation with comprehensive social services.
“Unaccompanied and separated immigrant children deserve an advocate and a voice. The Foundation’s funding will directly impact thousands of children in search of safety, a new life, and a future,” said Venable Foundation president Lindsay Meyer.
