On November 30, 2023, Ha Kung Wong, a partner in Venable’s Intellectual Property Litigation Practice, was named the president-elect of the Foundation for Advancement of Diversity in IP Law (FADIPL). Mr. Wong has been deeply involved with the FADIPL for several years, previously serving as a board trustee, and then as the executive committee treasurer and vice president.
The FADIPL has worked for the advancement of diversity in the IP profession for nearly two decades by providing their constituencies with financial support, networking opportunities, counseling, and mentorship. As the president-elect, Mr. Wong will help lead the organization in its mission to support members of underrepresented racial and ethnic groups as they pursue careers in intellectual property law.
